Royal Fern Nursery was started in 2019 with the purchase of our first home. What started as a passionate way to restore our land and support our plant habit, quickly turned into a full time mission. In less than 7 years, we have expanded from working with 19 acres in our back yard to 40 acres, acquired a large horse barn that we are converting into a retail/educational center and have re-introduced nearly 100 native species to the land! We grow and sell true native plants - most of which we collect and process the seeds by hand. Royal Fern also offers other eco-services such as garden maintenance, educational workshops and consulting in various capacities to a wide range of clients. We are experienced in biological surveys, ecological restoration, education/training, climate vulnerability analysis and mitigation planning, mapping-based services (floodplain analysis, conservation prioritization, habitat assessment) and much more. Our mission is to educate and provide resources to as many people as possible to help restore our local ecosystems, one native plant at a time!
